Deal done – Pattersons Commercial Law and Ashteds Solicitors set to merge
Two of Leicester’s best known boutique law firms, Ashteds Solicitors and Pattersons Commercial Law, have merged.
Ash Mody and Rik Pancholi sealed the deal ahead of the August Bank Holiday weekend in a move which will create a larger firm with a greater range of complementary services based at Pattersons Commercial Law’s Pear Tree Business Park headquarters.
Trading as Pattersons Commercial Law, the 12-strong combined team will now add Ashteds Solicitors’ reputation for excellence in dispute resolution and insolvency law to Pattersons Commercial Law’s skills and experience in corporate, commercial property and employment law.
Ash Mody will become a director at Pattersons Commercial Law, as will Charlotte Clarke who moves with him, along with PA Jayne Smith.
Speaking about the merger, Pattersons Commercial Law’s Rik Pancholi said:

Before establishing Ashteds, Ash Mody was part of the management team of Spearing Waite LLP and prior to that led the Commercial Litigation and Insolvency Team at Howes Percival LLP.
Speaking about the merger, Ash added:
